The Wonder Woman sequel is officially happening, as confirmed by Warner Bros. at their panel at Comic-Con in San Diego. A source revealed to ET back in June that Jenkins was at work on a sequel script, though she has not yet been confirmed to direct.
Here is what we know about the sequel: “I’m working right now on the Wonder Woman 2 script,” Johns told Yahoo Movies. “I just started.” Geoff Johns is DC’s Chief Creative Officer. Johns has huddled with Director Patty Jenkins to hash out some story points, but he refused to divulge any details beyond the return of Gal Gadot in the title role.
Slaying at the box office, Wonder Woman has raked in approximately $767.7 million worldwide since its premiere in early June, Wonder Woman is the DC Extended Universe’s most profitable adaptation yet!
Warner Bros. have also confirmed a new behind-the-scenes exhibit that will give fans the unique opportunity to fully immerse themselves in the world of the film. “Guests will be able to view a collection of authentic props and costumes from the movie, including Wonder Woman’s Lasso of Hestia, armor, tiara and signature sword.” It will open to the public on July 31.
