Peter Dinklage or Tyrion Lannister from HBO’s ‘Game of Thrones‘ has us entertained in the new vegan Doritos Super Bowl ad. The ad depicts Dinklage, who has been vegetarian for over fifteen years, going up against Morgan Freeman in a Busta Rhymes vs. Missy Elliot lip-sync rap battle.
In an interview with Billboard Busta Rhymes mentioned
“It’s an incredible moment and I’m definitely proud of it. I think it’s the hottest commercial on the planet. I feel that it’s one of the best commercials in Super Bowl history…. Our culture of hip-hop is being properly represented. It’s a great bag of energy and vibes. I loved doing it — the experience on the set was incredible and watching people’s energy over it was even more fulfilling for me. I’m basking in the moment.”
A lot of Game of Thrones fans believe that Dinklage’s final fire breath in the commercial leads to one fact: Tyrion isn’t a Lannister after all, but a Targaryen!
George R.R. Martin’s books reveal that the Mad King Aerys Targaryen (Daenerys Targaryen’s dad) was known to take certain liberties with Tywin Lannister’s wife, Joanna. The mothers of Tyrion, Daenerys and Jon Snow all died in childbirth, suggesting another connection. Also, Tyrion, Dany, and Jon Snow are all obsessed with dragons, a Targaryen trait.
At long last, thanks to A Song of Ice and Doritos Blaze, we have proof that Tyrion is in fact a Targaryen 🔥 pic.twitter.com/TyXQ2QnJT0

We will just have to wait for another year to bust that myth or NOT!
