After a series of predictions and guesses from Bachelor Nation, the 2018 Bachelor has been finally announced. Arie Luyendyk Jr. is officially the next Bachelor. The last couple of weeks fans have been pointing to former contestants like Peter Kraus and Ben Zorn.
The racecar driver made the announcement on “Good Morning America” Thursday morning.
“I just kind of went in with an open mind, open heart. It just kind of hit me right now that I’m here.”
Luyendyk, 35, is no stranger to the “Bachelor”. He made his first appearance on season eight of “The Bachelorette” in 2012, when he tried unsuccessfully to win over Emily Maynard.

“I’ll be 36 in a few weeks so for me it’s time. All my friends around me, you know, have kids and have grown up, so for me, I feel like I’m the last one of my friends to really take that step.”
Seems like Luyendyk is ready to tie the knot ASAP, the Bachelor gig couldn’t have been timed more perfectly. All we have to do is wait for next year to watch Luyendyk hand out the roses.
