Ed Sheeran Wants You To Know He Didn’t Quit Twitter

It’s very unlikely of Ed Sheeran to quit Twitter just because of the mixed reactions from fans for his cameo on the season seven premiere of HBO’s Game Of Thrones.

Fans were left alarmed as they singers Twitter account went missing for a few hours.

Ed took to Twitter to explain that he had activated Tweet Delete – a third party service that automatically deletes older posts from your Twitter feed. Unfortunately, this led to the whole thing blowing up and “HE’s GONE MISSING!” fiasco.

Ed is quite active on Instagram and regularly posts pictures of his cats. He also posted about his upcoming role on The Simpsons.

He’ll play character Brendan who is performing in a musical spoof of La La Land titled Haw Haw Land.

Executive producer Al Jean commented to Entertainment Weekly about the casting, revealing how Ed’s part was recorded over the phone from the UK.

Speaking about Ed’s involvement, Jean said: ‘We had a perfect part for him… So we said, “Oh, great, we’ll have him do this.” And we recorded him over the phone from England.’

You’ll be able to catch the episode in The Simpsons’ forthcoming 29th season in October.
